Through a partnership with Empowering Families, Potential Mentoring and Brent Samaritans, we set up information and support services for vulnerable children and their families living in Church End and Roundwood.  These areas had a history of unemployment, gang and postcode wars, with families becoming increasingly isolated within the community. After being referred to Starfish from external agencies and self-referrals, support programs was developed for each family according to their needs.

The children were referred to our Saturday Crew drama workshops, with the aim of nurturing personal development, confidence, self-esteem and self-expression.   We also ran a drama project for teens at the Unity Centre on Church Road.
